Behind many a great American cheese, there is a great woman… cheesemaker, that is! Female cheesemakers have been leading the charge of the American artisan cheese movement since its inception and the award-winning fruits of their labor - as well as their amazing stories - are to be savored and enjoyed! This medley includes three delicious artisan cheeses from different producers across the USA, as well as the perfect cheese accompaniment from a female artisan who is a trailblazer in her own right! (1.3 lb cheese)

Lancaster Duet, Farmstead First, Raymond, NE, Raw Cow and Raw Goat’s Milk -
The result of a collaboration between Krista Dittman of Branched Oak Farm and Charuth Loth of Shadowbrook Farm in Nebraska. One bite of this mixed milk gouda style cheese will send your mouth on a flavor journey that begins with sweet hints of dried fruit and honey, becoming nutty and earthy with a creamy, tangy earthy finish.

Bijou, Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery, Websterville, VT, Goat’s Milk -
Crafted by Adeline Druart and Allison Hooper in Websterville, Vermont, this cheese is reminiscent of the small, delicately ripened, Crottins de Chavignol seen in open-air markets all over France. These little buttons start out fresh and tangy with a delicate rind then continue to age in their special micro-cave packaging, becoming soft and more robust with time.

Marieke Gouda, Holland’s Family Farm, Thorp, WI, Raw Cow’s Milk -
The Gouda that is taking America by storm! Made by Dutch émigré Marieke Penterman in the old-world style, this traditional Dutch-style gouda is aged on Dutch pine planks where it develops complex, creamy, sharp, and caramel notes.

Fig Almond Spread, The Gracious Gourmet, Bridgewater, CT -
Nancy Wekselbaum selects only the finest, all natural ingredients to create these delicious, cheese friendly spreads and tapenades. (7 oz.)
