Hot For The Holidays (Part 10)
The Tessieri family is the Italian royalty of chocolatiers. The brother/sister duo started Amedei in 1991 after the renowned French chocolate producer, Valrhona, personally
told the Tessieris that Italy wasn't evolved enough to appreciate extraordinary chocolate. Alessio and Cecilia Tessieri set out to prove the French wrong.
For 20 years Amedei has been touted as some of the world's premier chocolate. Small, artisan producers sourcing the best cacao available, the availability of Amedei chocolate in the U.S. has been extremely limited. Luckily for you, Pastoral started carrying the Amedei Toscano Brown milk chocolate bar this December. Intensely creamy and buttery, this not-too-sweet bar exhibits a honeyed vanilla richness like no other. Absolutely phenomenal on its own, I would suggest trying it with some Spanish sherry for the ultimate nightcap this holiday season.
