Ok, gang. Here's one of our screwcaps selected with summer in mind. Light to medium bodied, with citrus that's more orange than lime or lemon. There's also a distinct floral note on the nose that gives this wine quite a bit of substance relative to the price. The more-than-light body makes it compatible with delicate cheeses, but also some firmer cheeses and even mild washed rind.
Viura, also known as Macabeu, is a main component of Spain's Cava wines. Malvasia is the traditional grape used to make Madeira. When these two grapes get together freshness abounds. Spritzy acidity with round body with smells and tastes of tingly orange zest and candied lemon.
