Shipping cheese is tricky business. We will do everything we can to ensure that your cheese arrives in the same immaculate condition it was in when it left our store. The following shipping guidelines ensure the quality of your product.
For local deliveries, we must have the recipient's current phone number (preferably along with an email address) in order to schedule a delivery time for the package. Due to perishability and our liability, we cannot leave packages without a person there to receive it.. Local delivery is available for orders of $40 or greater, covers the North side of Chicago, the Loop, West Loop and South Loop approximately.
All orders placed by 3 pm will be processed on the following business day according to your chosen shipping method and our shipping schedule below.
All non-perishable orders are typically shipped the following business day after your order is received. FedEx Ground and FedEx 2 Day orders must be received by 3 pm in order to ship the following Monday - Wednesday. Please note that all perishable FedEx Ground and FedEx 2 Day orders placed after 3 pm on Tuesday will ship on the following Monday, according to our shipping schedule below.
During December and at other peak seasons, we may experience some delays and therefore we cannot guarantee that orders will be processed and packaged within 48 hours. If you are buying for the holidays, please allow extra time for your order to ship.
Due to the delicate handling of perishable shipments, we follow a shipping schedule for all of our perishable products. For perishable products, we require a shipping method of two or fewer days. If the FedEx Ground map provided below does not indicate that your shipment will arrive within two days, FedEx 2 Day or Overnight service will be required.
All perishable FedEx Ground and FedEx 2 Day shipments are shipped Monday-Wednesday. If your shipment will take longer than 2 days to arrive via FedEx Ground or FedEx 2 Day, Overnight must be selected for your package and it will be shipped Monday-Thursday.To ensure rapid delivery based on FedEx’s shipping schedule, we only ship out products on the following days:
We will e-mail a FedEx tracking number to the purchaser upon shipment. While getting a gift in the mail is a lovely surprise, we strongly recommend you notify recipients of their impending perishable gifts. The recipient should inspect their package immediately upon arrival.
We will do everything in our power to make certain that your shipping experience with Pastoral is a pleasant and efficient one. We are not responsible for damaged merchandise or additional shipping charges that result from: • Deliveries delayed due to inclement weather. • Incorrect shipping addresses supplied by purchaser. • Shipments labeled as PERISHABLE left unopened or unrefrigerated • Gift shipments sent to recipients who are unable to receive their shipment. Please notify recipients of their impending perishable gift.
We are happy to ship your items anywhere in the United States when we are certain that your package will arrive in pristine condition. However, we cannot ship internationally or ship alcohol to the following states:
Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Alaska, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania
If the package includes alcohol, FedEx requires that someone 21 or older be present to sign upon delivery. If possible, we suggest choosing a place of business for delivery, and/or notifying a gift recipient of the impending package prior to arrival.
